1838 – The first photograph of a human being
This picture, the earliest known photograph to include a recognizable human form, was taken in Paris, France, in 1838 by Louis Daguerre. The human in question is standing in the bottom-left of the photograph, on the pavement by the curve in the road. He is having his boots shined.

Unfortunately, the PS4 2.0 software update came packing more than just SharePlay and a better-organized home screen. For a number of users it introduced some annoying bugs, like the inability to come back from rest mode without unplugging the system. Luckily, Sony has just released version 2.01 to specifically address those rest mode issues. There’s no word on whether it will fix any of the other problems that have been reported, but this might be one of the most-anticipated stability updates so far.

Here’s the deal: if a device has a camera, it will be used to shoot porn. No exceptions — not even if that device is a drone. Brooklyn film company Ghost+Cow shot a project called, erm, Drone Boning, using only unmanned aerial vehicles. Despite the name, the film really is quite artistic and focuses more on the landscape than on the porn itself. In fact, you can barely spot the actors in some of the shots, as you can see in the image above (clue: they’re hidden somewhere behind the “censored” mark). One of the filmmakers even describes it as a “Where’s Waldo?” challenge, except you need to find naked people instead of a bespectacled man wearing a striped shirt. Attacking the DIY 3D creator space, CARVEY changes the ground rulles by providing a unique for factor not quite yet captured by the industry. Carvey is sort of a cross between CNC and 3D printing. The consumer oriented usability and interface reminds us of everything that is the 3D print scence, although, the device actually cuts the work out of pre-existing raw materials. What’s cool about this product is that you dictate the material you want to use; various woods and plastics are doable and even some soft metals. We see this opening the doors for many crafty DIYers.
The iBox Nano appears to be following the norm of all 3D printers and killing it on Kickstarter. The closing crowdsource funding was at just over $311,00 today and with still 9 days to go has alreayd crept passed is fund goal.
